Denver Uke Community

The Denver Uke Community has been bringing Ukemaniacs together since 2005. The D.U.C. meets for a rollicking good time the third Sat. of every month at 10:30 a.m. in the Caf� of Swallow Hill Music Association on 71 East Yale Ave. in Denver. Their members have of a variety of skill levels from beginner to Wow! and all are welcome.

Arvada Ukulele Song Circle

The Arvada folks meet the fourth Tue. of the month in Arvada (near 64th & Ward) from 7-9 p.m. Ukulele players of all levels and those who just want to sing along are welcome.

FortUKE

FortUKE is a gathering of uke lovers who are in and around Fort Collins. They meet the first Sat. of each month from 9:30 a.m. until lunchtime at Everyday Joe's, 144 S. Mason St. in Ft. Collins. All are welcome. The espresso machine can sometimes be loud and there is an occasional train that goes by about 15 feet from the door, but those distractions are only encouragements to sing and strum with gusto.

The Boulder Guitar Society (BGS)

The purpose of the Boulder Guitar Society is to foster and promote the teaching, learning, enjoyment and performance experience of guitar music with an emphasis on classical and fingerstyle guitar. The society holds monthly meetings on the last Monday of each month, held at the First United Methodist Church in Boulder. Meetings, which are open to everyone, feature lectures/presentations by area artists, mini recitals and an open forum for members to perform.

BGS members include amateur guitarists, guitar students, guitar teachers, professional guitarists, guitar builders, university music graduates and undergraduates, and guitar enthusiasts of all shapes, sizes, and ability levels.

Our Boulder Ukulele Group logo design is by Jamie Stroud. Jamie has a BFA, and a MA degree in Illustration. A freelancer since 1998, Jamie mostly does editorial illustrations, magazine, and advertising design. He also teaches illustration and design at the college level. He writes as well as illustrates his own stories. Most recently "Sidney Sees A Shrink', which is available on Amazon. Sarah Goodroad

Sarah Goodroad founded the Boulder Ukulele Group in 2010. She has a Music degree from the University of Northern Colorado and has taught children and adults how to play for more than 10 years. She teaches ukulele, guitar and piano and specializes in teaching beginners the joy of learning to play an instrument in a fun and supportive environment.
